Well, why not, especially since its predecessor, the Laguna, was offered in such a body style.
It’s called the Renault Talisman and it is the company’s newest model. This has been unveiled a month ago and it is a new midsized car, currently offered in a single body style, a four-door sedan. The carmaker has already announced its plans, unofficially, of adding a second version of it, a five-door estate, but considering the fact that this is the replacement of the Laguna and Latitude, don’t act too surprised if a two-door coupe will be offered too. This will be a cheaper alternative to the Audi A5, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe and the BMW 4-Series Coupe, with less goodies added to it and a smaller engine range.
The image posted above is nothing more than a simple rendering put together by Theophilus Chin and it is offering us a first preview of the vehicle. Notice the large five-double spoke alloy wheels, the sloping roofline and the slightly longer front doors, along with the removal of the rear ones. The current sedan stands at 4.85 meters long, 1.87 meters wide and 1.46 meters tall, riding on a 2.81 meters long wheelbase so besides the length, which will be smaller, expect the same dimensions on the coupe. The trunk capacity stands at 608 liters and the interior design will be bringing the same Bose surround sound system, 8.7-inch display and the R-Link 2 infotainment system, on high-end versions. The engine lineup will include the TCe 150 and the TCe 200, along with the dCi 110 and the dCi 130, at first.
