Hyundai has released the first official teaser image with the upcoming sub-compact SUV called the Creta.
A few days after officially confirming the Creta, Hyundai has brought it to our attention once again, this time with the help of a sketch. The model in question is looking dynamic and sport and it can be compared to the ix25 Concept shown in China, last year. The vehicle has the same trapezoidal grille and headlights, and a similar front bumper. The hidden A-pillar is also worth mentioning and this is giving a more dynamic appearance to the vehicle, along with an open and airy cabin.
Rumor has it that the Hyundai Creta will have the same overall length as the ix25, meaning that it will stand at 4,270 mm long, 1,780 mm wide and 1,630 mm tall, riding on a 2,590 mm long wheelbase. The engine lineup will most likely be adapted to each region and chances are the European market will get downsized units. The concept car came with a four-cylinder 2.0 liter engine but this will most likely be dropped from the lineup. The new Hyundai Creta will be aimed towards models such as the Nissan Juke, the Opel Mokka, the Chevrolet Trax, the Ford EcoSport, the Renault Captur and the Peugeot 2008, amongst others. Chances are we will get to see it this September, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, but an official unveil date hasn’t been provided at this time.
