The South Korean based automaker Hyundai has recently released the first details on the HCD-14 Concept’s interior design.
After pulling the wraps off the Hyundai HCD-14 Concept a couple of weeks ago in a premiere during the 2013 North American International Auto Show, the model is ending up in our news once again, this time with the carmaker releasing the first details on the vehicle’s interior. According to the car manufacturer, the Hyundai HCD-14 Concept is coming with a head-up display for the phone, audio, temperature and audio controls and these are visible after pushing a button on the back of the steering wheel.
Besides this, the Hyundai HCD-14 Concept is also getting an eye-tracking and gesture recognition system which will reduce the distracted driving. The driver’s eye movement is tracked by a sensor mounted in the steering wheel. The temperature in the cabin can be set differently too, with the driver placing his hand in front of the dashboard, without touching it, and then rotating back and forth. A roofline installed sensor is playing the main role here. The HCD-14 Concept is coming with a 5.0 liter Tau direct injected V8 engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The model is previewing the next generation of the Genesis.
