The South Korean based automaker Hyundai has recently announced that a Genesis Coupe, co-developed with Cosworth, will make its public debut at this year’s SEMA show.
According to the car manufacturer and to CGRS (Cosworth Genesis Racing Series), the concept car will be officially presented to the public at the end of October, during the SEMA Show. The Hyundai Genesis Coupe in question is wearing a bespoke satin gloss blue paint finish and it’s coming with a blackout rear diffuser, an aero front splitter, integrated rear spoiler and gunmetal lightweight racing wheels. Bespoke seats, gear shifter, steering wheel and a special trim can be found in the cabin.
Power to the Hyundai Genesis Coupe by Cosworth is provided by the same 3.8 liter direct injected V6 engine, but after the British company has played with it, this is now producing an extra 41 HP (30 kW) and 40 Nm of torque (30 lb-ft), increasing the output to a total of 389 HP (290 kW) at 6,400 rpm and 440 Nm of torque (325 lb-ft) at 5,100 rpm. Additional details on the Hyundai Genesis Coupe signed by Cosworth are limited for the moment and will be announced at the SEMA show later on this month.
