A couple of new design sketches are offering a preview of the next i20 Active crossover, which is expected to be introduced sometimes this year.
Hyundai is not planning, apparently, the introduction of the brand new i20 Active for the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, which will be opening its gates on Tuesday, March 3, because the company hasn’t announced anything official on it for the moment. However, that doesn’t mean that it is not going to hit the market in the near future, in a sub-compact crossover body style, and the images posted below stand proof that the vehicle is as real as it gets. The two photos have been posted via Indian Autos Blog and they are providing us with a first look into the upcoming model.
The brand new 2016 Hyundai i20 Active is a sub-compact crossover which will go up against models such as the Nissan Juke, the Renault Captur, the Peugeot 2008, the Opel Mokka, the Chevrolet Trax, the Ford EcoSport and so on. The model in question will received the modified front and rear bumpers, the projector headlights, the plastic side guards, the LED daytime running lights, the round fog lights, the LED taillights, the aluminum cladding and several other goodies, to help it stand out. The South Korean based automaker is said to offer the 1.2 liter petrol engine under its hood, connected to the 5-speed manual transmission, along with the 1.4 liter diesel, connected to the 6-speed manual transmission. More details on the model are limited at this time.
