The South Korean based automaker Hyundai has recently announced its plans to unveil an art car based on the i40 during the 2013 Seoul Motor Show.
Over the last years almost every major automaker out there has created an art car based on one of its models and with an automotive event in its home market coming in pretty fast, Hyundai couldn’t stay aside. Hyundai’s latest creation is an art car based on the i40, which will be officially presented to the public for the first time during the 2013 Seoul Motor Show, styled by Karim Rashid, a world renowned artist.
“Karim Rashid’s creative design philosophy and the unique individuality of Hyundai PYL (Premium Younique Lifestyle) brand represent a perfect match. Hyundai will showcase the i40 Art Car and a special design collection to offer visitors of the Hyundai booth at the Seoul Motor Show a variety of entertainment”, said Won Hong Cho, the Hyundai chief marketing officer.
The model in question will get some interesting styling tweaks and it will be shown along with the Karim Rashid Special Collection of PYL, which will include things like a tumbler, a bag, a wristwatch and a backpack. Additional details on the Hyundai i40 art car are limited for the moment and will be announced during the South Korean automotive event.
