Hyundai has announced its plans to introduce, along with ARK Performance, the so-called Legato Concept, during the 2013 SEMA Motor Show.
According to the car manufacturer, the new Hyundai Legato Concept is actually based on the Genesis Coupe and it’s coming with an aggressive body kit, made out of the new front and rear bumpers, different side skirts or rear deck lid spoiler. The new Hyundai Legato Concept’s cabin is now getting Takata Drift Pro LE seats, an AiM Sports Strata GT steering wheel, a Rockford Fosgate premium sound system and a digital instrument cluster, amongst others.
“The ARK Legato Concept demonstrates the compelling appeal and versatility of the original Genesis Coupe production concept. ARK Performance has taken this original concept and expanded its appeal to the most demanding premium coupe owners at a whole new level”, said Mike O’Brien, the VP of Hyundai Motor America.
The Hyundai Legato Concept will be powered by a 4.0 liter V6 Lambda engine, based on the production version which has 3.8L in displacement. The unit has received a Stroker Kit, which includes the addition of upgraded connecting rods, a BC 4340 crankshaft and new pistons. The total output produced by the engine stands at 400 HP (298 kW) and 575 Nm of torque (425 lb-ft).
