The South Korean based automaker Hyundai has recently launched the new MD Elantra in Malaysia, where the model has been priced at RM86,888.
According to the car manufacturer, the fifth generation of the Hyundai MD Elantra is coming in four versions in Malaysia, along with two engine configurations. The entry-level Hyundai MD Elantra has a starting price of RM86,888 and it’s fitted with headlamp auto light control, two airbags, ABS, steering wheel audio controls and fog lamps, being powered by the 1.6 liter Gamma MPI engine, which is developing a total output of 130 PS at 6,300 rpm and 157 Nm of torque at 4,850 rpm. The unit can be mated to a manual or automatic transmission, both of them with six gears.
Besides the entry-level version, named the 1.6 MT Standard, the 2013 Hyundai MD Elantra is also coming as a 1.6 AT Standard, a 1.6 AT High Spec and a 1.8 AT Premium. The top of the line 1.8 AT Premium is powered by the 1.8 liter engine, which is producing a total output of 150 PS at 6,500 rpm and 178 Nm of torque at 4,700 rpm. This version is getting Nappa leather, automatic rain sensing wipers, audio visual navigation system, rear view camera and full automatic climate control with auto defogging and cluster ionizer, for a total price of RM111,888 on the road with insurance.
