The South Korean based automaker Hyundai is currently planning to develop a compact sports car which should hit the market in the next few years.
Toyota has opened a box filled with opportunities when it has introduced the GT 86 a few years back making new sports cars affordable and gaining praise from the biggest car magazines from all over the globe. Now, with the Toyota GT 86 fever passing by, more and more carmakers are planning to introduce a compact sports car and one of these is called Hyundai. According to a recent interview with the guys from Autocar, the company’s COO, Allan Rushforth, has confirmed the model in question.
Our source says that the new sports car will be brought onto the market and the company’s representatives seem to be quite enthusiastic on it, which can only mean that it will be as good as its main rival mentioned above. The Hyundai sports car is believed to gain inspiration from the PassoCorto Concept car, which was officially unveiled during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show and it was packing a 260 HP 1.6 liter twin turbo engine under its hood. More details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
