Hyundai Santa Fe Sport concept arrives in time for SEMA image

The South Korean model is certainly not your first entry on the list when it comes to selecting a capable SUV to go off-road on unbeaten trails – but the company aims to change the perception at SEMA.

So, here’s a more extreme Santa Fe Sport concept, set for the official worldwide debut in Las Vegas over the coming weeks – complete with lift kit, a military camouflage wrap and a huge light bar to help the rugged prototype navigate any encounter. Nicknamed the Hyundai Moab Extreme Off-Roadster concept and produced in partnership with the Rockstar energy drink, the SUV is ready to tackle any terrain, and comes bundled with many features, aside from the aforementioned lift kit, camouflaged exterior and added lighting systems. Worth mentioning are the King coilover suspension system, 2.5-inch Internal Bypass shocks with reservoirs along with 35×12.50 RZ17 Baja MTZ off-road tires.

But there’s even more – HID projectors, an intercooler, a downpipe, an AEM intake, skid plates, a Warn winch, and Magnaflow exhaust, just to name some others. “The Rockstar Energy Moab Extreme Concept was specifically designed to withstand the extraordinary demands of Moab off-road terrain,” said Nic Ashby, Rockstar Marketing. “Leveraging the outstanding Santa Fe Sport platform and powertrain, we definitely pushed its capabilities to new limits to conquer the pinnacle of challenges at Moab.” No technical details have been released so far – but that may change on October 31 when the Las Vegas SEMA show opens its doors.
