The 2012 version of the Hyundai Sonata was quietly unveiled in South Korea and it is virtually undistinguishable from the current generation.
With small exterior design modifications, the new Sonata features a revised grille, restyled mirrors, LED taillights and new 18-inch alloy wheels.
The car manufacturer has also slightly modified the interior too, with higher quality materials, revised trim and a cooled glove box.
The new generation of the Hyundai Sonata can be bought by customers powered by the 2.0 liter four cylinder engine, which develops 165 HP, or from another 2.0 liter turbocharged engine, that produces 271 HP, being the replacement of the 2.4 liter unit. Both engines can be connected to a manual or an automatic transmission.
Hyundai didn’t announce an international market version of the revised Sonata but the United States model could receive a similar refresh in the next twelve months which could go on sale for the same price.
