The South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has just presented a new image of its future i30 generation which will officially be unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September.
The image of the 2012 i30 is “saying” that the model will go directly against one of the most popular hatchbacks ever, the Volkswagen Golf, and its exterior design seems to be inspired from the Veloster coupe and was described as “fluidic sculpture” by the European design chief Thomas Burkle.
Official details of the new i30 generation haven’t been made public yet but rumors say that the model will be available with both diesel and petrol four-cylinder engines, one of them being the 1.6 liter direct injection which is developing 140 horsepower.
Hyundai officials expect the new i30 to be quite a hit and the Czech plant that currently manufactures the car, along with several other from Europe, will expand production from about 200.000 to 300.000 units every year.
The Frankfurt Auto Show will be the event where all the details about the new i30 will be presented so we will return on this model.
