The Hyundai Xcent compact sedan has been officially unveiled in India, during the 2014 New Delhi Auto Expo, in a world premiere.
The brand new Hyundai Xcent will go on sale next month, as the carmaker has already announced, and it will compete with models such as the production version of the Ford Figo and the new Tata ZEST. Hyundai says that its newest creation will stand at less than four meters long and it will get some interesting features on it, unlike other cars in the segment.
Some of these goodies will include the rear parking sensors, the rearview camera, the automatic air conditioning, the rear central vents, the start/stop button, the auto folding mirrors, the one-touch electric trunk opening, the numerous storage spaces added to the cabin and others. As far as the engine lineup goes, this will be taken from other models produced by the company.
According to the car manufacturer, the new Hyundai Xcent compact sedan will be borrowing the same 1.2 liter gasoline burner from the Grand i10 and it’s also said to be gaining the 1.4 liter diesel from the i20 and from the Verna. The engines will be mated to both manual and automatic transmission. Sadly this is all we’ve got on this model for the moment.
