Hyundai has officially pulled the wraps off its newest concept car, the Veloster Midship Concept, during the 2014 Busan Motor Show.
The new racy concept car is coming after the South Korean based automaker has introduced the facelifted Grandeur and the AG luxury sedan. The new vehicle has a lightweight aluminum suspension system, a strengthened chassis, a large rear spoiler, a rear diffuser, some new wheels and a wacky white and blue paint job. Thanks to these changes, this one-off version of the Veloster should be easily recognizable.
The brand new Hyundai Veloster Midship Concept is getting an engine which has been mounted behind the occupants and within the vehicle’s wheelbase. This has been added with the help of the team which created the Hyundai i20 WRC vehicle. The unit in question is a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged, which is getting Theta direct injection and it’s producing a total output of 220 kW. The unit is sending power to the rear-wheel drive. If you fancy this one-off Veloster Midship Concept, don’t make any hopes, because the company has no plans of putting it into production. More details on the model in question are limited for the moment.
