Icona has recently brought the new Vulcano supercar to the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The brand new Icona Vulcano was one of the Pebble Beach surprises, as the company didn’t announce its plans to bring the model to the over-seas automotive event. The Icona Vulcano has been officially presented to the public, for the first time, during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, earlier this year. The model represents an interesting design study, as it manages to blend features from a lot of supercars, but the vehicle in question is also about power and not only looks, as its creators are explaining.
The Icona Vulcano is mated to a front V12 engine, backed up by an electric motor, producing a total output of 950 HP. This will actually be the road going version and, depending on its launch price, it can quickly become a Ferrari LaFerrari, a McLaren P1 and a Porsche 918 Spyder killer. The track variant will be powered by a V6 unit. The 0 to 62 mph sprint is done in less than 2 seconds and top speed will stand at 217 mph. Rumors are saying that the Icona Vulcano will actually cost 1.9m GBP.
