Mercedes outed some specifications of the upcoming AMG GT R slated for unveil during the weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, but you can go out right now and have a better one.
This is thanks to the work done by aftermarket specialists over at RevoZport, with the German tuning firm having for any willing buyer the GTZ-650 package ready, this will turn the GT S into a beast sporting 650 hp and a meaner look to match the beefed up credentials. RevoZport’s kit gets the regular GT S’ 4.0-liter biturbo V8 from 503 hp to a very torquetastic 650 hp. In order to achieve the feat, there’s a reworked ECU and an upgraded flowing intake, alongside a titanium exhaust, which also comes with its own bonus, dropping some 22 pounds over the standard stainless steel item.
RevoZport is also allowing owners to let anyone know they have more horsepower under the hood via the new and more aggressive body kit – which should also deliver better downforce. The company made use of carbon-Kevlar for the front splitter as they consider the material better suited for the occasional encounters with speed bumps. Carbon fiber has been used for the canards, side skirts, and rear diffuser and customers can also receive items such as the lip spoiler or wing on the trunk.
