A new market is now available for the new Range Rover Sport generation as the popular SUV has been recently launched in India.
The launch of the 2014 Range Rover Sport in India has been announced by the British based automaker, which is offering the SUV for a starting price of 109.91 lakh rupees. For the money, its future customers will receive the 3.0 liter V6 Diesel S, but if the V8 Petrol Autobiography is what you’re looking for, than get ready to pay 165,85 lakh rupees. Land Rover has also announced other versions of the new Range Rover Sport generations, but their prices haven’t been made available just yet.
The 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine is producing a total output of 292 HP and it has a peak torque of 600 Nm. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint in this model takes 7.2 seconds and top speed stands at 222 km/h. The other unit available for the new Range Rover Sport in India, the 5.0 liter V8 petrol, is good for 510 HP and 625 Nm of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration made in 5.3 seconds and a 250 km/h limited top speed. The vehicle is 420 kg lighter than its predecessor and its ground clearance has been increased to 278mm.
