Nissan Motor India announced yesterday a two fold increase in sales for the month of October, especially due to the sales driven by the Sunny Sedan.
According to the official October figures, Nissan sold 2,990 vehicles, more with 164% compared to October 2010 when sales registered only 1,131 units.
From October’s 2011 total, 1,340 units were represented by the newly launch sedan Sunny which gathered more than 2,000 booking orders since its September launch. Also, the best selling Nissan model, Micra hatchback registeres 1,619 units sold in October (+52% compared to Oct. 2010 sales).
The Managing Director of Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd, Mr. Kiminobu Tokuyama stated: “October’s sales are very encouraging and demonstrate the sustained progress Nissan is making within the Indian market”.
According to the company’s latest statements, Nissan is triggering to sell in India approximately 40,000 vehicles until the end of this year.
