Nissan’s luxury brand Infiniti has recently announced its plans to introduce a Formula One inspired Q50 next month, during the 2014 NAIAS in Detroit.
The new Infiniti Q50 will soon receive a Formula One inspired version, which will be officially presented to the public in January, during the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The model in question will be named the Infiniti Eau Rouge Concept, after a corner on the Spa Francorchamps track.
“Performance is a key pillar of Infiniti’s DNA, and this car expresses a deepened design interpretation of that. The Q50, with an abundance of technologies, provides a great basis for an extreme performance version, embodied in the design of Q50 Eau Rouge”, said the Infiniti Executive Design Director, Alfonso Albaisa.
The upcoming Infiniti Eau Rouge Concept will have an aerodynamic design, which will be influenced by the company’s partnership with Red Bull Racing and, from the image posted above, we can see a ventilated hood, a mesh grille and a carbon fiber spoiler. Additional details on the new Infiniti Eau Rouge Concept are limited for the moment and will be announced next month, during the 2014 Detroit Motor Show.
