Nissan’s luxury brand Infiniti might ax the Q50 Eau Rouge Concept according to a recent report.
One of the most awaited models from Infiniti is the Q50 Eau Rouge but it seems that you will have to wave goodbye to the model in question because the carmaker will probably ax it. According to the ex chief executive Johan de Nysschen, the Nissan corporate vice president Noboru Tateishi has decided to abandon the Q50 Eau Rouge project . Keep in mind that this is a simple report and that Infiniti hasn’t issued any official response yet, so it’s anyone’s guess what will happen to the model.
As a small reminder, the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept has been officially presented to the public at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit. At that time, its engine remained unknown, but a few months later, at the Geneva Motor Show, the company revealed the 3.8 liter twin turbo V6 engine, the same one from the Nissan GT-R, rated at 568 HP and 600 Nm of torque. The limited production version should have been priced from approximately 100,000 USD and it should have come with less than 560 HP.
