Nissan’s luxury brand Infiniti has recently announced that the Emerg-E concept car will be shown in action at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, later on this month.
According to the Japanese based automaker, the concept car based on a modified platform of the Lotus Evora will be shown in action later on this month, during the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which will be held between the 29th of June and the 1st of July.
Rumors are saying that the Infiniti Emerg-E will hit the production line depending on the public and media reaction and, considering the fact that it was well received by the audience at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the company will probably “test” it one more time, later this month, during the UK automotive event. If the Emerg-E will hit the production line, it’s price tag is expected to be set at around 150,000 USD.
As a quick reminder, the Infiniti Emerg-E concept is powered by a 1.2 liter three-cylinder petrol engine, which is made by Lotus, helped on the way by two electric motors, each of them generating 201 BHP, and with the petrol burner producing 47 BHP. The Emerg-E can be driven on electric power alone for 30 miles and the range is extended up to 300 miles with the petrol engine.
