Infiniti today releases the first images of its concept car for the Geneva Motor Show in March. Called ETHEREA, it is a compact luxury model that previews how a future entry-level Infiniti could look.
Designed as a preview to the entry-level Infiniti set to debut by next year, the Etherea is about 4 inches longer than a Nissan Versa, but will obviously be targeting a much different market.
“Etherea is about a new type of luxury for younger buyers,” said Toru Saito, global chief of the Infiniti brand. “It is not just a smaller version of a typically conservative and traditional luxury car.”
The vehicle packs a sharply raked windshield with a C-pillar that was borrowed from the Essence show car. Infiniti has stated that the Etherea, “blends elements of coupe, sedan, hatchback and even crossover in one highly sculptural, near-mono volume form.”
No details on the powertrain. No letter, but it’s a hybrid, as a doubt. That is a label on the side can be read. Perhaps give the Japanese some more details in early March Fri
