The 2011 Infiniti EX35 was named a Top Safety Pick in the midsize luxury SUV category from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety yesterday.
As usual, the rating is awarded to vehicles that achieve IIHS’ highest rating of “Good” in front, rear and side impact protection, are equipped with electronic stability control, and earn a good rating in roof strength.
Other standard safety equipment found in the 2011 EX35 include front, side, and curtain airbags, a LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) system, Vehicle Dynamic Control and a tire pressure monitoring system.
In addition, the Infiniti EX also offers a host of available advanced technologies including; Lane Departure Prevention system (LDP), Intelligent Cruise Control, Distance Control Assist (DCA) and Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA) with Forward Collision Warning.
The Blind Spot Warning (BSW) system illuminates an indicator light if another vehicle is detected in the blind spot area. If the driver then uses the turn signal, the indicator flashes and an audible warning sounds.
