Infiniti hints at Q60 arriving with AMS performance parts at SEMA image

It’s trick or treat season for tuning fans – and as the SEMA show kicks off in Las Vegas, Infiniti has teamed up with AMS Performance for a bespoke Q60 coupe.

Nicknamed the Q60 “Red Alpha,” this one-of-a-kind custom build is teased here with a dynamic stance for the exterior design and upgraded performance under the metal. There are a handful of stills to preview the new sports car, but we need for the SEMA show to truly kick off in order to see everything that’s lurking in the shadows. As far as we can tell, the usual stuff is here – new front end, hulking massive wing at the back.

As far as performance goes, the Q60 is set to use the regular 3.0-liter biturbo V6 from the Q60 400 Red Sport but with added ponies on top of the actory model’s 400 horsepower (298 kilowatts). New intercoolers, dry media filters, high flow exhaust downpipes, a catback exhaust system, an ECU calibration, and a high capacity overflow tank arrive as far as modifications are concerned, and these actually preview a new range of products that will become available both from Infiniti and AMS Performance. “The combination of Infiniti’s luxury performance vehicles with AMS Performance’s ability to build some of the fastest aftermarket turbocharged import vehicles allows us to unlock the driver’s full potential with the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400, a concept we’ve dubbed ‘Red Alpha,'” said Martin Musial, president of AMS Performance.
