Nissan’s luxury brand Infiniti is planning to develop a new sports car based on the popular GT-R model.
The rumor has actually been confirmed by the head of advanced planning for Infiniti in Tokyo, Francois Bancon, who recently told and one of these vehicles is actually a GT-R based sports car. If the Nissan GT-R based Infiniti sports car will actually get the green light for production, we are expecting a softer sports car which will come with an extra price compared to its sister, but the new model is expected to be launched after 2015.
The Nissan GT-R is a sports car released in Japan in December 2007, reaching the United States in mid-2008 and finally in the rest of the world in 2009. The Nissan GT-R has been manufactured ever since 2007 and it’s coming as a two-door coupe, being powered by the 3.8 liter twin-turbo V6 engine which is mated to a six-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission. We don’t actually know the exact output developed by its engine because every GT-R is unique but the expected figure is less than 500 horsepower.
