Infiniti named Toshihiro Hirai its new Program Director & Global Head of Program Management.
Toshihiro Hirai is responsible for planning and executing all Infiniti’s future vehicle programs and he is based at Nissan and Infiniti’s global technical center in Atsugi, Japan. Before being appointed Program Director & Global Head of Program Management, Hirai worked as a top powertrain engineer at Nissan Motor Co.

Hirai-san’s global experience and his track record in Engineering and Program Management will be great assets on our journey.”
Hirai started his career at Nissan as a powertrain engineer and in 1993 he was assigned into product engineering at the company’s European engineering center in Cranfield, UK. In 1996 he returned to Japan and was named Chief Powertrain Engineer for an engine program led by the joint venture Nissan-Renault. Hi latest senior leadership position was Program Director for the platform used in the highly successful models including the X-Trail and the Nissan Qashqai.
