The Infiniti Q30 will be officially presented in September, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in its final production form.
Infiniti has announced its plans to officially introduce a production variant of the Q30 at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September. The car manufacturer has even released a teaser image which is showing a camouflaged prototype being driven. This will be riding on the MFA platform, signed by Mercedes-Benz, which will give it a front-engine and front-wheel drive layout.
The brand new Infiniti Q30 will be the first ever compact model signed by the company and it is currently undergoing final testing. This will come with a different exterior design, with a sleeker profile, sharp lighting units and so on. It will be based on the Q30 Concept shown a couple of years ago, during the same German automotive event, and it is expected to hit the market by the end of the year. We are not sure at this time what engines it will be using under its hood but chances are it will come with four-cylinder diesel and gasoline units signed by Nissan and Mercedes-Benz. Don’t act too surprised if you will see the Renault 1.5 dCi either. The transmission options will include a 7-speed automatic and there will also be a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system borrowed from Mercedes-Benz. The Q30 will be followed by a compact crossover, the so-called QX30.
