The special edition of the Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel has been since August this year and it was officially presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September but what was supposed to be just a concept but after the German had become the new Formula 1 champion for the fourth time, pill even if the season isn’t over yet, drug the automaker decided to mass-produce the vehicle.
“First of all, doing the Sebastian Vettel version was fun. It was fun for Sebastian, it was fun for Shiro Nakamura and actually it’s a really interesting car. But it’s also a kind of pilot for IPL, Infiniti Performance Line. It’s about being able to do our equivalent of AMG or M-Series and we wanted to test the organization and can the organization cope we’ve these type of special versions”, said the Nissan executive vice president, Andy Palmer.
Nissan’s luxury division, Infiniti, is keeping details like the performance of the IPL secret and according to Andy Palmer, the Infiniti Performance Line will directly compete with powerful versions of Mercedes-Benz and BMW, like the AMG or M-Series.
Infiniti didn’t announce when the new FX Sebastian Vettel Special Edition will hit the production line or when the vehicle will become available for its future customers.
