As far as we can tell this is a teaser for the upcoming “new” QX80 as the styling resembles a dynamic wagon or some sort of a shooting brake – but we’re not going to wait too long since the full reveal is set for November 28.
For now, the Japanese premium manufacturer has only presented a sketch, and there are few details attached to it – save for the fact it’s the make’s most advanced car ever. That’s virtually an invitation for open speculation, but we can bet all this innovative technology will be wrapped in a concept package. It will also most likely feature an electrified – hybrid or full EV – powertrain, along with the latest advancements in terms of connectivity and autonomous driving assistance systems.
The rumor mill has been keeping itself busy with Infiniti’s plans for the electric revolution – as the automaker is reportedly ready to introduce a pure EV in the form of a sporty model, but the timing for this one is actually set for the Detroit Auto Show in January next year. No matter the case, the LA Auto Show introduction should come along the lines of the Emerg-E concept from 2012 in terms of design, with a production version coming in 2019 using a special architecture developed specifically for the model, without links to Infiniti or Nissan cars.
