Jaguar’s answer to the BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class is called the XJ and it has received a facelift recently.
The 2016 Jaguar XJ is coming with a series of updates which aren’t that visible but they will be putting some distance between it and the current model. The vehicle is now getting a more upright front grille which is bigger, full LED headlights with revised graphics, LED taillights, sculpted chrome blades on the air intakes and that’s about all.
There is also a more luxurious Autobiography version which is getting the 20-inch Maroa alloy wheels, chrome intakes on the front bumper, a long wheelbase, semi-aniline leather seats with contrast stitching in the cabin, illuminated stainless steel treadplates, individual seats with sliding and massage functions, rear-seat entertainment system with two 10.2-inch folding HD displays and so on. The R-Sport model has been also added to the range and this is getting the 3-piece front splitter, side power vents, new side sills, a rear spoiler, glossy black look for the rear valance, window finishers and grille mesh, the Mataivia design 20-inch wheels, sport seats, R-Sport steering wheel and treadplates, piano black or carbon fiber trim and others. The new electric power assisted steering is also added to the 2016 model year version, along with the optional exterior black pack, the new assistance and safety features and the double J-blade DRLs. Prices for the model start from 58,690 GBP for the XJ SWB 3.0D Luxury and they go up to 100,000 GBP for the XJ LWB 5.0P S/C Autobiography. The luxury cruiser will go on sale this fall.
