We already know – fortunately not from firsthand experience – high performance vehicles are easier to crash than glass to break. And multiply that factor with the Bugatti Chiron’s 1500 hp.
So, thumb here’s a surprise, there while the Chiron hasn’t reached its intended customers just yet (which is when we think the crash count will soar), order someone still managed to wreck one of these expensive road jewels. The Bugatti Chiron hasn’t had a whole lot of time in the world either – it was presented at the Geneva Motor Show to the public back in March. Of course, since then it has been present at every possible event – making us forget how “young” the Chiron really is. This once pristine example might even be from the pre-production roster as far as we know, with little details surrounding the circumstances.
According German magazine Bild who asked Bugatti what happened, spokeswoman Manuela Hohne responded: “The driver was unfortunately a little inattentive, which is why the car landed in the road ditch. Fortunately nobody was hurt.” The location is still unknown – though we suspect Western or Central Europe. This is simply another testament to the fact that Sir Isaac Newton’s laws are still in effect everywhere, even when your 1,500 horsepower (1,120 kilowatts) beast gets all the safeguards in the world.
