The very first image with the so-called Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake has recently hit the web, ahead of the model’s public debut which will be taking place next week, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The British based automaker Jaguar seems to be taking on models like the popular Audi RS6 Avant and the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG with its newest creation, the so-called XFR-S Sportbrake. The image posted above hasn’t been confirmed or denied by the company up to date so don’t act too surprised if the final product will be looking exactly like that one, once you will spot it for the first time, during the Swiss automotive event in Geneva.
The new Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake has received a more aggressive body kit in the same lines as the sedan but with beefier bumpers, with different front air vents and larger alloy wheels. As far as the engine goes, it’s expected to produce an impressive 542 HP (405 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. The engine will be mated to an eight-speed ZF transmission, which should allow it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.6 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 180 mph (300 km/h). Prices for the model should start at just over 80,000 GBP.
