Patent photos of what seem to offer a first preview into the next generation of the Ferrari California have recently hit the web.
The next generation of the Ferrari California is just around the corner because after replacing the 599 GTB with the F12 Berlinetta, creating the impressive hybrid supercar LaFerrari and making the 458 Speciale, amongst others, the Italian based automaker is currently planning to replace the California. The images posted below, which are actually patent photos, are offering a first preview into the next generation of the Ferrari California, which is expected to make its way onto the market as early as 2014.
The images in question are suggesting that the new Ferrari California will get a front fascia similar to the one of the FF, with a ventilated hood and angular headlights. The model will also get a four-tailpipe exhaust system and a prominent diffuser. Power to the next generation of the Ferrari California is expected to come from a 3.8 liter V8 engine, the same one from the Maserati Quattroporte, which is good for 530 HP (390 kW) and 710 Nm (542 lb-ft) of torque. Ferrari is expected to tweak the unit so more horsepower are expected. Additional details on the 2015 Ferrari California are limited for the moment.
