BMW has recently announced that the M6 Gran Coupe will be officially presented to the public early next year.
According to the German based automaker, the all-new BMW M6 Gran Coupe will be officially presented to the public in early 2013, but the event during which this will happen is currently unknown, rumors saying that it might be either the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit or the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. BMW is saying that the M6 Gran Coupe will come as a 2014 model year, which means that it will hit the market sometimes in 2013.
The all-new BMW M6 Gran Coupe will be powered by the same engine used in the M5, the 4.4 liter V8 with M TwinPower Turbo Technology, but unlike the M5, the M6 Gran Coupe is expected to get more power than 560 HP. The S63Tu engine will be mated to the company’s seven-speed DCT transmission and the automaker isn’t saying whether a manual will be available as well. The BMW M6 Gran Coupe will get the same front and rear design as the M6 Coupe and M6 Convertible and the model will start at 100,000 USD over-seas. More details on the BMW M6 Gran Coupe will be announced next year.
