The British based automaker Jaguar has recently confirmed the rumors which were saying that the future F-Type supercar will get a 5.0 liter V8 engine under its hood.
After the first rumors were saying that the future Jaguar F-Type will be powered by a 5.0 V8 engine once it will hit the market just a week before writing this article, the company has finally confirmed them and it’s now official what engine will power the model. According to the car manufacture, the Jaguar F-Type will get the 5.0 liter V8 engine under its hood but we don’t know what output will this unit produce just yet.
The existing 5.0 liter V8 engine made by Jaguar is currently putting down 503 horsepower and 542 horsepower, but for the future supercar, the company is expected to develop a whole new unit, or at least upgrade the existing on. Besides the 5.0 liter V8 unit, the Jaguar F-Type supercar will also get a new 3.0 liter V6 supercharged petrol burner, which will become available in two outputs, with 375 BHP and with 335 BHP. The same unit in the 335 BHP configuration will also be adopted by the XF and XJ, allowing the models to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds.
