Italy earthquake: Ferrari 599XX Evo to be auctioned for charity image

Ferrari has announced that a 599XX Evo will be auctioned next week in order to raise funds and help the families affected by a series of earthquakes in northern Italy.

According to the company based in the peninsula, Maranello will host an online auction where a Ferrari 599XX Evo will find a new owner. All the funds raised will be donated for charity in order to help Italian families affected by a series of earthquakes over the past week which shook the northern territory. Besides the impressive Ferrari 599XX Evo, helmets and racing suits, donated by the Scuderia drivers, Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso, will also be auctioned, along with a V8 engine which was used on a Formula 1 car.

As a quick reminder, the Ferrari 599XX Evo is a high-performance version of the high-performance 599XX, which was shown on the 9th of November, 2011. The model in question is coming with restyled aero and exhaust package, along with electronic upgrades and Pirelli tires. The Ferrari 599XX Evo weighs 35 kg less than the standard 599XX and the model is coming with a minor power boost, 740 HP and 700 Nm of torque. The model has a price of GBP160,000 on top of the GBP1 million for the privilege.
