The five-door version of the Skoda Citigo urban vehicle has recently been launched in Italy, where the model has a starting price of 9,090 euros.
After being officially presented to the public at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March, in a world premiere, the five-door Skoda Citigo is once again being placed into the spotlights, this time with the car manufacturer announcing its launch in Italy. According to the Czech based automaker, the Skoda Citigo five-door entry-level can be bought in Italy from 9,090 euros and the model is coming with ABS, 4 airbags and ESP, promising a 5-star EuroNCAP rating.
Future owners of the five-door Skoda Citigo in Italy will have to choose at first between the 1.0 liter engine in two outputs, with 60 BHP and 75 BHP, both of them petrol burners and both of them mated to a five-speed manual transmission, but with the automatic gearbox coming in at a later time. The Skoda Citigo Active entry-level is packing folding rear seats, digital display, immobilizer, Servotronic and Isofix, but the BA Drive Safe City with laser sensor, which detects potential risks of collision at speeds below 30 km/h will also be available as an option. Besides the Active, the five-door Skoda Citigo will also be available in the Ambition and Elegance trim levels, with the latter costing 11,410 euros.
