It’s official – 2014 Cadillac XTS gets 410 HP V6 image

The North American based automaker Cadillac has recently announced new details on the 2014 XTS’ LF3 engine, which should hit the market later on this year.

According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Cadillac XTS will get front-wheel drive and its updates will include the optional Automatic Parking Assist, which can maneuver the model into parallel parking spots, the electric power steering and much more. A total of three trim levels will become available for the model, the Luxury, the Premium and the Platinum, above the standard version.

“The Cadillac XTS is one of the most technologically advanced production cars in the brand’s history, delivering the space, elegance and dramatic presence that are brand signatures in a unique package tuned for a new generation of luxury customers”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.

The 2014 Cadillac XTS will receive a 3.6 liter twin turbo V6 LF3 engine under its hood, which will produce a total output of 410 HP and it will have a peak torque of 369 lb-ft. This represents 10 HP and 61 lb-ft of torque down compared with the CTS. The unit will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Additional details on the “new” XTS will be announced close to its launch.
