The British based automaker MINI has recently announced its plans to officially pull the wraps off the next generation Cooper on the 18th of November, 2013, at the company’s plant in Oxford, UK.
The new generation of the MINI Cooper, which is wearing the 2014 model year in its name, has been already spied numerous times and even teased by the carmaker but the model is now being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of an official announcement, which is saying that it will make its public debut on the 18th of November, in the United Kingdom, at the Oxford facility.
The 18th of November date has been chosen to pay homage to Alexander Arnold Constantine Issigonis (born on November 18, 1906), the original creator of the MINI. During the same week, the 2014 MINI Cooper will be simultaneously showcased at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show and at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. The model in question will be longer and wider and it will take some of its styling features from the Rocketman concept. Additional details on the vehicle are limited for the moment and will be announced over the following months.
