It’s official: 2015 Ford Mustang to get 2.0L EcoBoost engine image

Ford has recently announced that the next generation of the Mustang will get a 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine under its hood, which will come with four cylinders.

The fact that the North American based automaker Ford is currently working on the next generation of the Mustang is no surprise for anyone, but what comes as a shock is that the future muscle car will get, besides the V6 or the V8 under its hood, a 2.0 liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, as the company has recently announced.

According to the car manufacturer, the 2015 Ford Mustang will use a four-cylinder 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine in order to improve the fuel consumption of the muscle car. The 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine which will find its way under the hood of the future Mustang generation is the same one currently used by Ford on the Focus ST, which is producing 250 horsepower.

Those of you who are planning to buy the future Ford Mustang and aren’t too excited about the four-banger, should know that the carmaker won’t drop the 3.5 liter V6 or the larger 5.0 liter unit. The new Ford Mustang will be officially presented to the public at the 2014 New York Auto Show.

This article is a little misleading. It first makes it sound like the new Mustang won't be available with a V6 or V8, then it states it will include all 3 types of motors?

If you read the end of the 1st paragraph it says…besides the V6 or the V8. Meaning it will also have.

It actually says 3.5 or 5.0 liter V6, not V8

It says…3.5 liter V6 or the larger 5.0 unit. It is not saying the 5.0 is a V6.
