Bentley has recently announced its plans to introduce a production version of the SUV in 2016.
The announcement has been made by the luxury carmaker in a press release but what is mostly strange is that there is no mention of the EXP 9 F Concept, which was unveiled back in 2012, during the Geneva Motor Show. Our guess is that the Bentley officials aren’t big fans of the Concept SUV so the final production version of the model will probably seek inspiration somewhere else. It’s not like the VW Group doesn’t have luxury SUVs, like the Porsche Cayenne or the Audi Q7.
The new Bentley SUV will probably be improved in terms of styling, if we should judge by the design sketch posted above, and the noticeable changes will be the sleeker roofline. Let’s also mention the overall look of the new Porsche Cayenne which, by 2016, will most likely receive a new generation. The platform will probably be shared between the two vehicles and it’s a possibility that it will also be used on the new Audi Q7 generation and also on the future Volkswagen Touareg. Additional details on the new Bentley SUV are limited for the moment.
