A BMW representative has confirmed to inautonews.com that the newly unveiled X4 will be making its public debut next month, during the 2014 New York Auto Show.
Following some spy photos and a small online unveil, the BMW X4 is now getting ready to meet the public for the first time. This will be happening in April, at the 2014 New York Auto Show, as the company has told us. The new BMW X4 is based on the X3 and it’s adopting the sporty design of its larger brother, the X6, getting an aggressive front fascia, with a prominent grille, twin headlights, distinctive fog lights and more. The model also has L-shaped taillights, a sloping roofline and a rear diffuser.
The brand new BMW X4 is 14 mm longer and 36 mm lower than the X3, but the cabin is basically identical. The model has a cargo capacity of 1,400 liters, with the rear seats folded, some aluminum trim, gloss black control panel surrounds and more. As far as the engine lineup goes, the crossover will be coming with three diesels and three petrol burners. Customers will be able to choose between 190 HP and 313 HP, in the diesel range, and from 184 HP and 306 HP in the petrol lineup. Prices for the BMW X4 will start at 45,625 USD.
