Jaguar has recently announced that the final production version of the F-Type sports car will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 Paris Motor Show on the 27th of September.
After the concept version of the Jaguar F-Type has been first revealed last month during the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the model is once again being placed into the spotlights, this time with the British based automaker announcing that the final production version of the sports car will make its official debut on the 27th of September, during the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
“The unveiling of the F-TYPE in Paris will be a truly significant day in Jaguar’s history as it will mark the company’s return to the sports car market, a market it originally helped to create. As its sporting forebears did in their era, the F-TYPE will break new ground by delivering stunning sports car performance while vividly demonstrating Jaguar’s cutting-edge engineering technologies and world-class design excellence. The next step in Jaguar’s sporting bloodline is about to become reality”, as the global brand director of Jaguar Cars, Adrian Hallmark, said in the official press release.
Jaguar says that the final production version of the F-Type sports car will be launched as a convertible and it will get a choice of three engines, the 3.0 liter supercharged V6, in two outputs, 340 PS and 380 PS and the larger 5.0 liter supercharged V8. Power will be sent to the rear-wheel drive through an eight-speed transmission and all versions will get the Start/Stop technology. More details on the final production version of the Jaguar F-Type will be announced during the Paris Motor Show next month.
