Mercedes-Benz has finally announced its plans of offering the successor of the C63 AMG with the newly introduced 4.0 liter V8 engine.
The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz will be offering the new C63 AMG with the recently introduced 4.0 liter V8 engine. The announcement has been officially made by the company’s CEO, Tobias Moers.
“It goes without saying that the successor to the current C 63 AMG will again be powered by an eight-cylinder engine. We owe that to our loyal fans, plain and simple. The AMG V8 Biturbo engine mesmerizes not only with maximum power and torque, but also with the absolute best fuel economy in the comparative segment”, said the AMG boss.
In the AMG GT, the 4.0 liter V8 twin turbo engine is capable of producing 462 HP (339 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque, in the entry-level version, while in the range topper AMG GT S, the same unit can produce no less than 510 HP (375 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. It remains unknown for the moment how much power the engine will produce in the successor of the C63 AMG. More details on the model are limited for the moment.
