It’s official: New Chevy Corvette Convertible will debut in Geneva
The North American based automaker Chevrolet has recently announced its plans to introduce the new Corvette Convertible during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
Rumors on GM developing a convertible version of the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette have been around ever since the sports car has seen daylight for the first time and now the model is closer than ever to its future customers. According to the car manufacturer, the new generation of the Chevrolet Corvette Convertible will be officially presented to the public next month, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The model will also enter production later on this year.
Details on the new Chevrolet Corvette Convertible are limited for the moment but the model is expected to get the same LT1 6.2 liter V8 engine as the Coupe. The unit is coming with CVVT (continuously variable vavle timing) and direct injection and it’s generating 450 BHP (336 kW) and 609 Nm of torque (450 lb-ft). The 0 to 60 mph acceleration takes approximately 4 seconds. The Chevrolet Corvette Convertible will hit the market in late 2013 or early 2014. More details on the model will be announced in Geneva.
