Land Rover has recently announced its plans to introduce the Range Rover Sport SVR at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, on the 14th of August.
The brand new Range Rover Sport SVR, in production guise, will be officially introduced at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The model in question will be the most powerful production vehicle ever sold by Land Rover and this is also the fastest SUV ever on the Nurburgring, after lapping the famous track in just 8 minutes and 14 seconds. The achievement has been made by a company’s test driver, in a production spec vehicle.
The Range Rover Sport SVR is taking its power from a 5.0 liter V8 supercharged engine, which is producing a total output of 550 HP (405 kW), which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 5 seconds. More performance figures on it haven’t been announced yet but we do know that the Range Rover Sport SVR is getting a more aggressive body, a rear diffuser, a mesh grille, a quad exhaust setup, high performance braking system and larger alloy wheels, amongst others.
