Jaguar has recently announced its plans to introduce the XF R-Sport next week, in a world premiere, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
Jaguar’s newest creation is named the XF R-Sport and the model in question is available as a sedan and a wagon. The new Jaguar XF R-Sport can easily stand out from a crowd, thanks to its sporty front bumper, to its rear spoiler, to its different side skirt and to the 17-inch alloy wheels, which have been wrapped in low rolling resistance tires.
Changes made to the cabin are limited and they include the black Suedecloth seats with red or tan contrast stitching, the carbon fiber trim, the piano black trim or the dark oak trim, the tread plates and the R-Sport badging on the steering wheel, amongst some other tweaks, which will easily differentiate the model in question.
Power to the Jaguar XF R-Sport is being provided by a 2.2 liter four-cylinder diesel engine, which is rated at 163 HP (120 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 9.8 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h). The XF R-Sport is returning 4.9L / 100km (57.7 mpg UK / 48 mpg US) and it’s emitting 129 g/km of CO2.
