Jaguar will present the C-X16 Production Concept model at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, with high chances of hitting the production line.
The C-X16 Concept will have the same width as the XK but it will be 300 mm shorter, with much of the extra length removed from the structure in front of the rear wheels, preparing the car for its roadster and coupe forms.
“Great Jaguars have always been beautiful, innovative and have looked firmly to the future”, said Ian Callum, the design boss of the car manufacturer.
Performance of the C-X16 Concept isn’t known for now but it is expected to be launched with a new generation of V6 petrol engine, both normally aspirated and supercharged, and a V8 which may be the top of the line.
According to Autocar, the Jaguar C-X16 is expected to go on sale at the end of 2012 and it will be priced around 50.000 pounds.
