Jaguar has released the first official image with the brand new C-X17 Concept SUV, ahead of the model’s official debut scheduled for the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, next week.
Rumors on Jaguar developing an SUV have been around for several months and now the model is finally being placed into the spotlights for the once again, with the help of an official image. The brand new Jaguar C-X17 Concept SUV is getting a styling inspired from other models in the company’s lineup, which have been oversized in some case to match the crossover body style.
The first thing we notice when we look at the image posted above is the large front grille, the generous air intakes, the small headlights, large bumper and so on. The other teaser image released a few days ago was showing a tailgate mounted spoiler, a sloping roofline and taillights inspired from the brand new F-Type. The final production version of the Jaguar C-X17 will ride on the new Premium Lightweight Architecture (PLA), which will also underpin the XS, the BMW 3-Series rival. Additional details on the Jaguar C-X17 Concept SUV are limited for the moment and will be announced during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
