Jaguar is planning to launch the new generation of the X-Type in 2015, along with a crossover which will battle with its main German rivals.

The British based automaker Jaguar has big plans for its models and despite the financial difficulties in Europe, the company is planning to launch a successor of the X-Type sometimes in 2015, which will compete with models like the BMW 3-Series, the Audi A4 and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Besides this, Jaguar will also launch a crossover, which will ride on a new aluminum architecture and rival with models like the Audi Q5 or BMW X3. Both of these models are expected to hit the market in 2015.

One year earlier, in 2014, the new XK will be officially presented and it will be more luxurious and larger than the current model. In 2013, the production version of the C-X75 Concept will finally be revealed, and this model will get a 1.6 liter four-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged engine, backed up by two electric motors, and will produce a total output of 500 HP. The vehicle will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than three seconds before reaching a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h). More details on these models will be announced shortly.
